Dutch Golden Age Explainer

What was the Golden age of Dutch art?

The Art Gallery of New South Wales needed a way to explain why Dutch art from the 17th century was dubbed the ‘Golden Age’ for their exhibition ‘Rembrandt and the Dutch golden age masterpieces from the Rijksmuseum’. So, we decided there was no better way than to actually bring the photos to life!

We chopped them up (digitally of course), stitched them together and flew through them. This way we could fully immerse the viewer, show them why these pieces of art are so important and give the art life beyond the exhibition.
